Is It Just Another War? Digital, 42'', 2009 Norway |
Tell me something about you and artistic background.
I’m 22 years old, studying at Volda University. I’m a filmmaker and Photographer. In 2009 I finished my biggest project yet, the 60 minute long documentary film about the Norwegian organization Bring Children From Streets. That documentary was screened at BIFF, which was a fantastic experience for me.
Tell me about this film, initial idea and work process.
The film was an animation project I was working on. Its originally a still image that I converted to a sort of animation. I made the animation using Photomatix and After Effects.
Are you working on new projects at the moment?
I’m not, unfortunately. But hopefully I can work on some new projects this summer.
Do you have specific influences in your film/video making?
I know my film doesn’t show it, and it shouldn’t either, but Woody Allen is a great inspiration to me.
Why is it important for you to show your film/video in a festival?
Because it so much fun really!
What role do you think Oslo Screen Festival should have to promote your work?
I don’t know, the future will tell I guess.
