Tell me something about you and artistic background.
BicefaliKo is the union of two complementary talents merging into one artistic concept. “Dos cabezas piensan mejor que una”. Since 2006, Javieraron (Bruska) & MiaouMIX, develop an artistic experience stretched between a strong European legacy and a Colombian idiosyncrasy. An idea laboratory which added value is coherence between the artistic formalism and its content. BicefaliKo develops artistic concepts with motion pictures, photography & instalations to focus the public attention on today's society conformism. Social heterodoxia, historical amnesia, utopical constructions are bicefaliKo's starting point to transgress and go behond beauty paradigms. BicefaliKo playground is the human body and its sexualization, the power relationship between dominant and its submissive. Always with a dantesque and sexual shade.
Tell me about this film, initial idea and work process.
an*AMOR*phosis is an hypnotik trip when strings and music melt together in order to create ex nihilo a new aesthetic and a new way of watching music. A free exercice based on musical and emotional experience.
Are you working on new projects at the moment?
Of course. Upcoming 2 new shortcuts for the 2nd semester 2010
Do you have specific influences in your film/video making?
Yes : we are children of the (digital) media revolution. We were bred with more images than milk. Listing all our influences here would be useless and pretentious from us.
Why is it important for you to show your film/video in a festival?
It is important for an*AMOR*phosis to be exposed and shown to a broader public. We hope the video shall have a long life to know major film festivals in the world.
What role do you think Oslo Screen Festival should have to promote your work?
Dealing with video, art and media, the Oslo Screen festival should use & abuse of every single medium to promote the festival itself in general and all the participating video in particular. From street marketing to internet viral campaign. From TV to radio, press and co branding. In particular about an*AMOR*phosis, it could be shown in schools as a tool to reconciliate young people with classical music and contemplation. To teach how visualising and / or watching music.
